Interesting draft in Nashville. Washington looks to have done well with their two first-round picks. The New York Giants ended up with three first-round picks and continue to provide an endless source of comedy.
The NFL 2019 Round 1 draft results are as follows:
1. Arizona Cardinals – Kyler Murray QB Oklahoma – 5’10” 207 lbs.
Murray checks the boxes with arm strength, quickness, and mobility, but will need OL upgrades to “stand” a chance.
2. San Francisco 49ers – Nick Bosa DE Ohio State – 6’4″ 266 lbs.
A top every-down defensive player and immediate impact starter.
3. New York Jets – Quinnen Williams DT Alabama – 6’3″ 303 lbs.
A top defensive player that should command double-teams inside for the Jets.
4. Oakland Raiders – Clelin Ferrell DE Clemson – 6’4″ 264 lbs.
High character pass-rusher whose expected to be a leader for last season’s worst pass-rush defense.
5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Devin White LB LSU – 6’0″ 237 lbs.
Solid sideline-to-sideline inside backer with speed, athleticism, and coverage skills which fills a need for the Bucs who will need to contend with the likes of Alvin Kamara, Christian McCaffrey, and Devonta Freeman.
6. New York Giants – Daniel Jones QB Duke – 6’5″ 221 lbs.
At least Jones is tall and has experience dealing with adversity. He’ll be dealing with more adversity in New York when Eli is done.
7. Jacksonville Jaguars – Josh Allen EDGE Kentucky – 6’5″ 262 lbs.
Immediate impact player as a pass-rusher on passing downs.
8. Detroit Lions – T.J. Hockenson TE Iowa – 6’5″ 251 lbs.
Solid in both run/pass game. Hockenson should see a lot of snaps given his every-down potential.
9. Buffalo Bills – Ed Oliver DT Houston – 6’2″ 287 lbs.
Oliver should bring an immediate pass-rush presence from the interior.
10. Pittsburgh Steelers – Devin Bush LB Michigan – 5’11” 234 lbs.
Bush is a sold three-down interior backer as the Steelers continue to look for a Ryan Shazier replacement.
11. Cincinnati Bengals – Jonah Williams OT Alabama – 6’5″ 302 lbs.
Williams should step in as an immediate starter at the RT.
12. Green Bay Packers – Rashan Gary DE Michigan – 6’4″ 277 lbs.
Every-down versatility as an immediate starter.
13. Miami Dolphins – Christian Wilkins DT Clemson – 6’3″ 315 lbs.

Should improve pass protection as immediate starter at RG.
15. Washington Redskins – Dwayne Haskins QB Ohio State – 6’3″ 231 lbs.
Has good size/arm strength but lacks mobility. Should be a week 1 starter for the franchise.
16. Carolina Panthers – Brian Burns EDGE Florida State – 6’5″ 249 lbs.
Burns brings pass-rush ability immediately with three-down potential.
17. New York Giants – Dexter Lawrence DT Clemson – 6’5″ 342 lbs.
Huge run-stuffing NT who will fill the role of the departed Damon Harrison.
18. Minnesota Vikings – Garrett Bradbury C North Carolina State – 6’3″ 306 lbs.
Very quick but lacks power. Immediate starter for OL that needs improvement.
19. Tennessee Titans – Jeffery Simmons DT Mississippi State – 6’4″ 305 lbs.
With an ACL tear occurring in February, will not have an immediate impact.
20. Denver Broncos – Noah Fant TE Iowa – 6’4″ 249 lbs.
A receiving TE who will immediately start.
21. Green Bay Packers – Darnell Savage S Maryland – 5’11” 198 lbs.
Small but fast and immediate starter at FS.
22. Philadelphia Eagles – Andre Dillard T Washington State – 6’5″ 315 lbs.
Should start at LT next season as Jason Peters eventual replacement.
23. Houston Texans – Tytus Howard T Alabama State – 6’5″ 322 lbs.
Will start at LT on the OL that gave up the most sacks last season.
24. Oakland Raiders – Josh Jacobs RB Alabama – 5’10” 220 lbs.
Solid all-around skill-set. An immediate starter at least on two-downs.
25. Baltimore Ravens – Marquise Brown WR Oklahoma – 5’9″ 166 lbs.
Small but very fast. Should be an immediate starter.
26. Washington Redskins – Montez Sweat EDGE Mississippi State – 6’6″ 260 lbs.
Immediate pass-rush starter with three-down ability.
27. Oakland Raiders – Johnathan Abram S Mississippi State – 5’11” 205 lbs.
Hard-hitting box safety with good speed. Should be an immediate starter for a defense with a lot of holes to fill.
28. Los Angeles Chargers – Jerry Tillery DT Notre Dame – 6’7″ 295 lbs.
Should be a three-down starter.
29. Seattle Seahawks – L.J. Collier DE Texas Christian – 6’2″ 283 lbs.
Should be an immediate three-down starter to upgrade run-defense as Frank Clark’s replacement.
30. New York Giants – Deandre Baker CB Georgia – 5’11” 193 lbs.
Should be an immediate starter.
31. Atlanta Falcons – Kaleb McGary T Washington – 6’7″ 317 lbs.
Another first-round O-Lineman for the Falcons. Good run-blocker but has short arm length. Could start at RT for a weak run offense last season.
32. New England Patriots – N’Keal Harry WR Arizona State – 6’2″ 228 lbs.
Good size with ball skills on contested throws. Role on offense currently unknown but should see starter snaps considering current depth chart.
