Defense

Baltimore Ravens – Salaries: DraftKings (DK) – 3200 (6.4% of cap), FanDuel (FD) – 4200 (7% of cap). The Ravens’ salary ranks them 9th/7th on DK/FD, respectively.

The betting line with the Browns (1-2) has the game total at 46 points with the Ravens (2-1) as -7 point home favorites. The Ravens’ implied team total is currently at 26.5 points and the Browns are currently at 19.5 points.

At Kansas City last week, the Ravens’ defense logged 1 sack and allowed 33 points. The Rams’ defense logged 3 sacks and 1 pick while holding the Browns’ offense to 9 points at Cleveland last week.

Cleveland gives up the 4th most fantasy points to opposing defenses. The Browns also allow the 6th (tied) most sacks with 11 and the 7th (tied) most giveaways with 5. The Ravens’ defense leads the league with 28 QB hits, but their middling 7 sacks should start to positively catch up, especially against Cleveland’s porous O-line.

A road date at Baltimore will be Cleveland’s toughest defensive matchup to date.

Minnesota Vikings – Salaries: DraftKings (DK) – 3400 (6.8% of cap), FanDuel (FD) – 4000 (6.67% of cap). The Vikings’ salary ranks them 6th/11th on DK/FD, respectively.

The betting line with the Bears (2-1) has the game total at 38 points (lowest on the board) with the Vikings (2-1) as +2.5 point road dogs. The Vikings’ implied team total is currently at 17.75 points and the Bears are currently at 20.25 points.

Against Oakland last week, the Vikings’ defense logged 4 sacks, 1 pick, and held the Raiders to 14 points. Against Chicago last week, Washington’s defense tallied 3 sacks, 1 pick, and gave up 25 points to the Bears’ offense.

The Vikings rank 6th (tied) in sacks with 10 and turnovers with 6. The Bears rank 20th (tied) in sacks allowed with 8. Trubisky and co. will face a much tougher matchup than the one they got last week with Washington.

Carolina Panthers – Salaries: DraftKings (DK) – 2300 (4.6% of cap), FanDuel (FD) – 3500 (5.83% of cap). Carolina’s salary ranks them 21st/15th on DK/FD, respectively.

The betting line with the Texans (2-1) has the game total at 46.5 points with the Panthers (1-2) as +4.5 point road dogs. The Panthers’ implied team total is currently at 21 points and the Texans are currently at 25.5 points.

At Arizona last week, the Panthers’ defense logged 8 sacks, 2 picks, and allowed 20 points. Against the Texans last week, the Chargers’ defense tallied 2 sacks, 1 fumble recovery, and gave up 27 points.

The Texans give up the 5th most sacks with 12 while Carolina’s defense ranks 3rd (tied) in sacks with 12 as well as QB hits with 25. Carolina makes for a cheap defensive punt with a plausible path to points.
