NFL Week 2: September 14th – 18th, 2017
We’ll provide some details and insights on some potential daily fantasy defense/special team value plays for week 2.
This does look like a pay up for DST week, with a lot of the upper tier defenses having some primo matchups. Let’s see if we can find some of the less obvious values.

Defense
Kansas City Chiefs – Salaries: DraftKings (DK) – 2900, FanDuel (FD) – 4500. Kansas City’s salary ranks them 16th/13th on DK/FD, respectively.
The Vegas line with the Eagles has the game total at 47.5 points with the Chiefs as -5.5 point home favorites. The Chiefs’ implied team total is at 26.5 points and the Eagles are at 21.
Washington registered 2 sacks, 2 turnovers, and a TD against Philly last week. The loss of Eric Berry (achilles) will hurt but they will be a much tougher matchup for Carson Wentz and co. in a hostile environment.
Los Angeles Chargers – Salaries: DraftKings (DK) – 2800, FanDuel (FD) – 4300. Los Angeles’ salary ranks them 19th/20th on DK/FD, respectively.
The Vegas line with the Dolphins has the game total at 45 points with the Chargers as -4.5 point home favorites. The Chargers’ implied team total is at 24.75 points and the Dolphins are at 20.25.
The Chargers tallied 4 sacks and 2 turnovers last week at Denver. This week, they will get a Miami team that hasn’t played a game yet, or hasn’t dealt with football for that matter in a long time. If the Chargers can jump to an early lead, and force Jay Cutler’s turnover-prone hand, things could set up well for this defense.
Los Angeles Rams – Salaries: DraftKings (DK) – 3000, FanDuel (FD) – 4400. Los Angeles’ salary ranks them 14th/16th on DK/FD, respectively.
The Vegas line with the Redskins has the game total at 46 points with the Rams as -2.5 point home favorites. The Rams’ implied team total is at 24.25 points and the Redskins are at 21.75.
The Rams racked up 4 sacks, 3 turnovers, 2 TDs, and a safety against the hapless Colts last week. That type of performance isn’t sustainable, however, the Eagles defense racked up 22 fantasy points at Washington last week. Aaron Donald is also expected to return for the Rams this week as well.
