Lineup Breakdown:

The Pat stack of Brady/LaFell/Gronk made a lot of sense from a matchup viewpoint, especially with Edelman out, but Rex’s Jets usually play the Pats tough, and this week was no different.

Another stack in play was Newton/Benjamin. Tough matchup but Cam played his usual style of game despite the back injury and came out no worse for wear. Benjamin saw a team high 12 targets come his way but only pulled in 5 catches. Not good.

Both running backs with great matchups had very solid games. Watching Anderson rack it up down the stretch was crazy, and he gave the winner a 1 point victory in the end.

The Buffalo DST was one of the best paper matchups of the week. Then the Raiders took the lead in the second quarter and never looked back, knocking the Bills out of playoff contention in the process. It didn’t help that Marcell Dareus left the game early, but they just didn’t show up, for whatever reason.

In regards to the Flex spots, talk about dart throws that hit. Wilson was a low floor/low ceiling play with a good matchup against the Steelers porous secondary. Nicks was the ONLY Colt that didn’t kill everyone’s lineups. If Indy’s game plan was to feature Nicks with a team high 11 targets and get trampled 0 – 42 into the fourth quarter, they were quite the success.

It is amazing how a score like this can win the championship, but that is the weird week that was.

Congrats to the winner for gutting this one through!
